Vocational Skill Development Program by UFM Baking & Cooking School in Collaboration with the Department of Corrections

On July 5, the teaching team from the UFM Baking & Cooking School visited Klong Prem Central Prison to conduct a one-day bakery training session for female inmates.

The program included hands-on instruction in two bakery products:

Rose-shaped Mooncake with Macadamia Filling and Rainbow Sweet Potato Salted Egg Filling
Signature UFM Soft-Top Milk Bread
Both menu items are well-known UFM recipes and represent some of the brand’s most recognized bakery products.

The activity was divided into two sessions. The first session consisted of a live demonstration of each bakery item, followed by a hands-on workshop where participants practiced making the products themselves.

A total of approximately 30 trainees joined the class, and the program received highly positive feedback.

At the end of the session, the participants expressed their gratitude to the instructors from the UFM Baking & Cooking School and shared their hope that the team would return to teach additional recipes. They also requested further support in developing their baking skills to enhance the quality of the bakery products sold within the prison’s food service operations.
