Ingredients

UFM Wheat Flour 555 (Tong Ha) — 1 bag
Water — 800 g
Oil — 50 g
Salt — 20 g
Ammonium carbonate — 10 g
Sugar — 8 g
Baking powder — 4 g
Baking soda — 1 g
Yeast — 0.8 g

How to Make Pa Thong Ko

- Sift the flour (UFM 555) and set aside.
- In a bowl, dissolve all ingredients except the oil. Once combined, add the oil and mix until well incorporated.
- Pour the liquid mixture gradually into the flour and knead until smooth and uniform.
- Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it rest for 4 hours.
- Dust a work surface with flour, place the dough on top, and cut into strips. Pair the strips together using a little water to stick them, then deep-fry in hot oil until golden brown and crispy. Transfer to a wire rack to drain excess oil.
